It is that time of the year again and we are excited to announce that “Club Day 2015” is just around the corner! On February 4, 2015 we will have all of our clubs on display giving students the opportunity to meet and become apart of a club of their choice!
Every student has a passion and we as student government officers are determined to find what that is. with over 40 different clubs to offer we are confident that each student will find what they love and join a group of students that share a common interest and build relationships through the process.
Make sure you make your way out to the Student Center Hallway from 11:30 A.M until 1:30 P.M on February 4 & find your club! Make sure to say hi to your SGA officers and we will be looking forward to meeting you all!
Since November 3rd the SGA and Student life & leadership have begun a food drive for the rescue mission of Trenton. We are collecting non perishable food items for people who are in need. With the holidays fast approaching please help and support this cause because many families are in need of something to eat and even just one donation can make a giant difference in someone’s life. The last day of donations will be on Thursday, November 20, so please bring in any donations as soon as possible. We really appreciate all of your support and help, thank you!
In collaboration with the Share the Warmth clothing drive, the SGA and AVS have teamed up once again to bring a Share the Warmth dance. This dance will be the final part of our clothing drive to end this drive off right. Admission for this event will be either an article of clothing or a monetary donation in support of Share the Warmth drive. All the proceeds that we have collected will be going to the Anchor house of Trenton. Come out and bring your friends and support such a great cause while have a great time all at once. Come join the SGA in an event that you won’t soon forget about. Bongo ball is an upcoming and extremely fun game which is reminiscent of paintball except you will be hit by a soft nerf ball instead of a paintball. We are excited to be able to bring this event to Mercer and even more excited to play with everyone here on campus. You do NOT want to miss out on this event so bring your friends by and come experience the world of Bongo Ball. This event will be on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. til 3:30 P.M.. The game will be held in the Quad right outside the student center, unless there is inclement weather then the event will be moved inside to the cafeteria. Many men, women and children will have to go through yet another harsh winter without a place to stay let alone a coat to keep them warmth. Help SGA and AVS share the warmth this holiday season by donating new or gently used articles of clothing to keep these families in need warm. Donation boxes will be located around both the West Windsor campus and the Trenton campus. Donations will also be collected in room SC 111 on the West Windsor campus. All proceeds will be going to the Anchor house of Trenton and help many families in need.
Join your SGA for an epic night of bowling and laser tag at Colonial bowling lanes. This is going to be a very fun event hanging out with your peers while going head to head in games of both laser tag and bowling! Tickets are $10.99 only with your MCCC student ID and that will include unlimited laser tag/bowing and food. This event will be on November 13, 2014 from 9:00 pm to midnight. See you there!
On October 14, 2014 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm We will be having a texting while driving simulator. This will be a very important event for all students to attend and it will also be a lot of fun as you take a virtual journey of the effects of a dangerous act. Texting makes a car crash 23x more likely to occur so this event will help us understand the dangers of texting while driving and that any text message can wait when your behind the wheel of a vehicle. Along with learning the importance and safety each person will get a chance to get behind the wheel of a virtual car and drive which will be a exciting trip! Can’t wait to see everyone there!
